Fes is one of Morocco’s most popular destinations, and for good reason. Home to one of the world’s largest medieval old towns, there’s so much to explore. You have the classic Fes el-Bali Medina, you can buy leather at the Chouara Tannery (make sure to take some mint leaves, as the smell can be overwhelming) and don’t forget to visit some of their traditional souk. I recommend staying in a riad for the full experience – the best ones are on Booking.com!
Almaty is at the top of my bucket list (as is the rest of Kazakhstan). This historic city has incredible markets (such as the Green Bazaar) and the wooden Ascension Cathedral, although I strongly recommend adding the spectacular nature to the trip: visit the Big Almaty Lake, go hiking on Kob Tobe Hill or spend a few days at the Shymbulak mountain resort.
Let me be honest: Toronto is not somewhere that should be on someone’s bucket list by itself. However, it’s what’s around that makes it a great trip; in the city, make sure to visit the CN Tower and the Toronto Islands. After a couple of days there, make sure to take a trip to the Niagara Falls, or if you want something different, go east towards Montreal (and even better, Quebec City!).
Lastly, a beach destination by excellence: Bali. This tropical island has dreamy beaches, temples (personal recommendation is the Uluwatu Temple), and the famous Ubud rice terraces. Definitely try out the beach clubs in Canggu too! And if you want to switch it up, it’s perfect to do some island hopping.
