I like to say that Pula is Croatia’s hidden gem. It has everything you’d expect from a city that lies on the Adriatic sea (special mention to island hopping), as well as a historic Roman Empire and a beautiful old town (and much quieter than destinations like Dubrovnik). Sarajevo is a Balkan capital that is slowly gaining international attention, and for good reason. It is one of the most multicultural cities in Europe, full of historical sites and with a great coffee culture. Greatly recommend taking a day trip to Mostar!
Tbilisi is one of my favourite cities; it has an incredible history, with a unique old town full of wine bars and cafés, and great views. Colombo is the perfect start to a Sri Lanka trip, with traditional markets and temples, and a unique food and culture. And lastly, Seoul; a modern, fast-paced city, with stunning palaces and viewpoints, an incredible city nightlife, and full of history. Apart from everything the city has to offer, I highly recommend taking a day trip to the DMZ (the border between North and South Korea).
